Gateway Logistics, Inc. is looking for a Sales Manager (3PL experience required) to join our brokerage team in Cincinnati, OH.
As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing our current inside sales team as well as developing/training new inside sales executives. The Customer Sales Manager will assist the management team with strategic planning such as the establishment of growth targets and hiring plans. This individual should be confident in their ability to set and achieve aggressive growth goals.
Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Establish aggressive growth targets for our customer sales team
- Lead, coach, and inspire our inside sales executives to exceed their goals
- Work directly with the Carrier Sales Manager to ensure customer needs are met
- Review, update and implement sales training material
- Assist current Customer Sales Manager with day-to-day strategy & management of inside sales team
- Continually research market trends, pricing, and competition to ensure our company strategy is relevant and effective
- Ensure we are building/maintaining strong customer relationships
- Assist in interview process for hiring inside sales executives
Sales Manager Qualifications:
- *MUST HAVE 2+ years of experience at a freight brokerage*
- *Proven track record of developing and growing a sales team*
- Demonstrated ability to make cold calls and close new business
- Strong business acumen with good analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage in high-paced environment
- High energy personality with a strong drive for success
