Delta Hotels by Marriott – Anaheim/Garden Grove is searching for a talented and motivated Sales/Event Coordinator for their beautiful 382 room property with 36,000 sq. ft of meeting space located one mile south of Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention Center.
The ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, a team-player and reliable! The Sales Department works with a good mix of group, business, tour & travel and social clients. The hotel is a popular destination for elaborate weddings and corporate events. Our friendly Sales/Event Coordinator provides attentive and courteous service, all while helping to create a memorable and personalized experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
· Answer telephone calls and respond to caller inquiries.
· Forward event information to potential clients and answer questions about our property/facilities/services.
· Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them via phone and email.
· Generating reports, preparing proposals and contracts, coordinating with clients and vendors.
· Maintain files and filing system of accounts.
· Assist the Sales Team with preparing for site tours, client meetings and event planning.
Must-Have:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Speak with others using clear and professional language.
· Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
· Excellent customer service skills
· Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities
Nice-to Have:
· Experience with CI/TY, MARSHA,OPERA and Social Tables
· At least 2 years’ experience as an sales or event coordinator

LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
