Sales Director

About this opportunity
We are looking for a Sales Director to lead our AT&T Business Development Group sales focusing on driving sales toward the Department of Defense in partnership with AT&T. 5G is happening, now. We are preparing and equipping the U.S. government with critical mobile communications solutions. Through critical thinking and proactive business development, you will work with AT&T to build relationships across the U.S. Government to pave the way for a new profitable business for Ericsson.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving customer engagements around new technologies such as 5G and IoT being applied to DoD/USG. Responsible for leading sales, contribution, and cash-flow, including working capital. We are searching for a Sales Director that will act with confident authority to develop business relationships while actively contributing to make our customer successful.
What you will do
- Secure short and long-term profitable business for Ericsson within the U.S. Government sector through proactive business development and management of Ericsson resources based on fundamental understanding of the customer and its business, operations, and objectives
- Partner with the senior leadership team to continually identify, develop, and execute a broad range of critical initiatives within the U.S. Government sector.
- Be accountable for business development, in years sales, cost of sales and operating expenditures
- Be responsible for consolidated customer contribution and cash-flow including working capital
- Advocate for customer & partner with Business areas and MA Domains; use deep connections to influence inside Ericsson to deliver on commitments
- Effectively lead, mentor, and manage the Core 3 team
- Lead by example in embedding Ericsson-on-the-Move’s Five Focus Areas within the organization.
- Collaborate with AT&T and US Government on 5G trials
- Generate profitable sales and develop long term business relationships
- Maximize customer relations, ensure customer satisfaction, and build loyalty
You will bring
- A bachelor or master’s degree in Business Administration, or a similar degree
- 10+ years’ demonstrated success in building and developing relationships enroute to winning and delivering substantial new business
- Prior Sales Director experience. (Large CU / GCU or BA experience would be a considerable plus)
- Broad experience spanning from product solutions to delivery including 5G is a plus
- Experience closing deals with the U.S. government and/or LSIs
- Ability to create innovative financial solutions benefiting both the customer and Ericsson
- Wireless industry-wide knowledge and the ability to present relevant business and industry insights to drive business forward
- Proven experience of Network & Core Products and Services Sales
- Ability to foster and maintain executive relationships
- Strong connections within BA and MA domain
- Strong understanding of Ericsson's Networks business with deep knowledge of Ericsson products and services including broad understanding of new product introduction and sales (Networks, Cloud RAN, ORAN, Packet Core & Communication Services, Cloud & NFVi)
- Excellent collaboration skills, positive mindset, and strong business acumen
