This position will coordinate the site safety program on a specific project. You will work with the Safety Manager to educate and train staff in laws and ensure compliance with the company’s policies and expectations. We are not looking for a “safety cop” but someone that is behaviorally based to coach, mentor, and teach.

FUNCTIONAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDE

  • Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety reps.
  • Enforces safety programs and related policies and procedures.
  • Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
  • Facilitates site safety inspections and corrects any deficiencies, trains new employees in site and OSHA safety policies, and assists in setting up and maintaining the SWPPP for the job.
  • Assists safety director in conducting seminars, project interviews, committee meetings, project start-up meetings, accident investigations, and audits.
  • Commercial Construction Safety Management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-6 years' of experience solely dedicated to commercial or industrial construction safety.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is preferred.
  • This person must have experience in commercial/industrial construction safety management.
  • Must have practical knowledge, working experience, and continuing education in the areas listed above.
