This role works closely with executive and regional leadership teams and is responsible for the creation and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all associates.

Essential Job Functions

• Safety Management:
• Collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures for all areas of the company.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules, including EPA regulations around stormwater pollution & prevention
• Ensure completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
• Stop operations and activities that could harm employees or equipment.
• Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
• Prepare, schedule, and conduct training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, applicable safety standards, and other relevant topics with employees, trade partners, and vendors.
• Review safety training and recommend revisions, improvements, and updates.
• Develop and implement inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
• Conduct and review accident and incident reports.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local safety laws; specifically, around OSHA requirements
• ASP or CSP certification
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of fleet management and operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct training.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field(preferred)
• Valid drivers' license (CDL preferred).
