The Safety Administrative Assistant provides exceptional administrative support to the Safety Department as well as being a safety resource to field and office team members. This position processes and summarizes safety related data to provide accurate and timely reporting. MUST HAVE STRONG ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS

Responsibilities:

  • Provide solid administrative duties to include sending Near Miss and Good Catch letters, scheduling meetings, etc.
  • Maintain weekly reports, safety bulletins, action logs, incident tracker and monthly safety focus in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain hazardous chemical inventory and update SDS files.
  • Maintain stock of necessary PPE and control Inventory.
  • Ability to proofread material for accuracy.
  • Attend meetings, take meeting minutes, and distribute as necessary.
  • Always provide helpful service with internal and external customers.
  • Prepare paperwork for new hire safety orientation and schedule new hire orientations.
  • Perform all tasks assigned or which are logically inherent to this position.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree preferred but not necessary.
  • 2+ years of experience providing administrative support to management.
  • Attention to detail, organized and able to prioritize.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Administer all forms of communication, relatable to everyone.
  • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and document management skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent computer aptitude.
  • Hold self and others accountable for meeting deadlines and commitments.
  • Adapt quickly and effectively to changing and ambiguous circumstances.
  • Always maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
