Rural Rate Recovery Coordinator

This is a full-time contract position in Carson City with the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health’s Immunization Section. Work will be performed in Carson City.

• Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm
• 40 hours per week

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two (2) years of clerical and administrative support experience which includes: maintaining records and files; preparing a variety of materials using a personal computer or word processor; assisting customers in completing forms and applications; and/or performing secretarial duties in support of professional staff; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (required upon applying)

Must know how to use a computer, operate Microsoft Office products, and answer phones with excellent customer service. Must have the ability to receive, review and process a variety of documents according to established guidelines, policies, regulations and timelines.

DUTIES

• Develop vaccine needs assessments for rural counties who present lower vaccination rates.
• Utilize community organization to develop a focused campaign to improve vaccination education in rural counties and frontier school settings
• Create technical reports and surveys to disseminate to the rural county community health nurses to gauge vaccine uptake and needs
• Provide enhanced technical support for public health activities in rural and frontier counties.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.97 - $33.51 per hour

• 5x8
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Self-determined schedule
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Carson City, NV 89706: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Microsoft Office: 3 years (Preferred)
• Customer service: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
