Roving Tender - Machine Operator (3rd Shift)

Currently seeks motivated employees to help operate state-of-the-art production textile machines! Your job as a Roving Tender is to operate a set of Marzoli FT 60 D Roving frames, creels sliver cans, repairs creel breaks, removes roll laps and chokes, doffs roving bobbins, pushes full cans and buggies to storage, performs assigned cleaning duties, notifies fixer of repeated frame stops
You will be shown the area with more description during the interview.
Job Objective:
Operates a set of Marzoli FT 60 D Roving frames, creels sliver cans, repairs creel breaks, removes roll laps and chokes, doffs roving bobbins, pushes full cans and buggies to storage, performs assigned cleaning duties, notifies fixer of repeated frame stops
Must be able to transport full cans of drawing silver weighing up to 90 lbs- Must be able to read basic written instructions
- Must be able to distinguish colors in stock-in-process and waste
- Must be able to wear ear plugs, respirator/dust mask, googles/eye protection, and other protective pieces of equipment
- Must pay normal attention to job duties required to maintain efficiency and quality
- Repair end breaks
- Creel cans
- Doffs laps
- Change shift clocks
- Clean complete lapper
- Perform assigned/cleaning schedule
- Patrol for ragged edges in pans
- Change shift clocks

- Perform assigned/cleaning schedule
- Follows safety rules prescribed by plant
- Must be able to work safely around moving parts
- Must be able to transport full cans of drawing sliver weighing up to 90 lbs
- Must be able to read basic written instructions
- Must be able to distinguish colors in stock-in-process and waste
- Must be able to wear ear plugs, respirator/dust mask, goggles/eye protection, and other protective pieces of equipment
- Must be able to meet Plant schedules and attendance requirements as specified in Company Policies
Schedule:
- 3rd shift - 12am - 8am

Pay rate: $13.50 Hourly + $1.00 Shift premium.
