RN Sepsis/Stroke Program Administrator

Hours/Shift: Full Time – Days
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adhere to evidence-based practices and protocols.
- Establish and cultivate relationships with providers, EMS systems, and other health systems.
- Oversee ongoing process improvement to meet or exceed evolving clinical, organizational, and community standards in the population.
- Assess educational needs of staff and assist in the development of educational programs, staff education materials, and community education as needed.
- Maintain and ensure compliance of continuing sepsis and stroke education for providers and nursing staff.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team caring for sepsis and stroke patients.
- Provide appropriate feedback and coaching to staff based on data analysis and observation.
- Ensure accurate and timely collection of clinical data, verifying and updating data as needed.
- Share prepared data with key stakeholders in an understandable and meaningful context to motivate adherence to protocols and continuous improvement.
- Co-chair the Stroke Committee and chair the Sepsis Committee.
- Serve as a resource to staff, providers, patients, and families.
- Complete stroke registry and sepsis core measure abstraction, ensuring core measure requirements are met.
- Perform a variety of technical and specialized tasks involved with the concurrent and retrospective evaluation of patient care.
- Assume responsibility for meeting state and national regulatory requirements, including stroke designation, as well as maintaining a state of survey readiness for this program.
- Participate in state-wide collaboration to improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain current knowledge and competency in the management of both the septic patient as well as the stroke patient, and in professional practice (e.g., conferences/workshops, professional organizations, etc.).
- Hold a Valid AZ or compact state RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Compassionate, friendly, and driven to excellence
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Possess the ability to work effectively in a team
- Experience in quality improvement preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school in Nursing with MSN
- ACLS
