We are looking for a RN or LPN for our night shift.

The RN or LPN plans, organizes, and provides nursing care to residents, who reside in skilled nursing or assisted living, according to federal, state and facility regulations and standards. Ensures quality care is maintained for all residents across skilled nursing and assisted living.

Supervises Certified Nurse Aides and Certified Medication Aides.

Essential Job Functions

• Provides professional nursing care to residents
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by physician
• Observes residents’ conditions and charts and reports changes or concerns to the appropriate parties
• Responds to residents’ calls and determines how to assist them
• Works with DON, physicians, Care Plan Team, nursing staff and residents’ families to assess residents’ needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions
• Helps residents with activities of daily living (ADLS) and ensures that residents are following diets as directed by physicians
• Provides assistance in waking, bathing, feeding or toileting the residents as necessary
• Directs and supervises nursing assistants’ day to day functions
• Ensures residents’ care is provided by the appropriate nurse or designee in accordance with federal, state and facility polices
• Communicates clear expectations to nursing assistants on a daily basis
• Provides leadership by example
• Observes all infection control polices according to federal, state, and facility policies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• RN degree from an accredited school of nursing or college/university: or
• Graduate of an approved LPN program
