STAFFING NOTICE: Lead Rigger and Rigger
The smash-hit comedy parody The Empire Strips Back returns to San Diego for an 8- week run in a new pop-up theatre, running February through April. It previously sold-out San Diego's Spreckels Theatre. NX5 Theatrical is accepting submissions for the Lead Rigger and a Rigger position for the production’s upcoming load-in.
THE SHOW: Combining comedy and dance, "The Empire Strips Back" has a cast of 11 and is both hilarious and a stunning visual treat. It's been a smash hit in San Francisco and Los Angeles, selling out 3 months in SF and 2 months in LA. See www.EmpireStripsBack.com for more info.
POSITION SUMMARIES: Lead Rigger / Rigger
We are currently seeking an experienced individual to serve as Lead Rigger, and another as a Rigger, as typically understood within the theater industry, for the load-in of lightweight aluminum truss, and the hanging of one static line, one supporting side hoist line, and other potential overhead items. We are looking for those with an excellent knowledge and background in theatrical rigging. Maintaining a safe work environment will be essential. Employee must be able to lift weight of up to 50lbs chest height, be able to work from heights, have a team oriented personality, and be respectful of others at all times.
SALARY
Lead Rigger: $400 day rate (8hrs) Rigger: $280 day rate (8hrs)
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT
January 29 (Possibly January 30, call TBD)
