Job description

Position Summary The Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue opportunities through the development and implementation of effective short and long-term inventory and pricing strategies based on future demand forecast, current and historical trends. This includes the development and deployment of inventory restrictions and pricing strategies to maximize revenue per available with a focus on driving operational efficiencies through extended stay occupancy. Duties also include the monitoring and management of inventory via various distribution channels including but not limited to CRS, Internet and GDS. This position will also be responsible for the design, deployment and monitoring of forecasting and budgeting for each of their managed hotels which would include a full competitive analysis. The position’s success will be greatly benefited by consulting with third party intermediaries such as Expedia and Booking/Priceline to gain maximum exposure and revenue gains for the hotel as well as complete analysis of local events and activities and a projection of the revenue opportunities they create for the hotel.

Job Description

Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:

Operational/Functional:

• Deliver outstanding experiences to guests, partners, and team members
• Review and react to relevant reports and records
• Review and ensure quality of documentation and record-keeping
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations

Strategy and Planning:

• Set departmental goals and strategy to align to company mission and departmental goals and targets
• Coordinate with other departments to achieve results
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors

Financial Management:

• Achieve all revenue and expense targets
• Direct financial operations of the department, including budget management, and monitoring expenditures
• Participate in budget and forecasting process as directed

Managing your Team

• Attract, retain, and motivate the best talent
• Ensure team members receive proper training applicable to their position and career aspirations and in accordance with company policy and/or local laws
• Responsible for monitoring, measuring, and recognizing performance of team members who directly report to the role and indirect reports

• Handle employee issues in a professional and timely manner
