SEEKING 10-15 Hours/Week Seasonal Employee with the potential to grow
Retail Store Clerk for Vintage and Resale Store.

(No Experience is Necessary, However, Customer Experience and Retail Sales are Preferred)
Job Hours: Weekend availability is required. Some weekdays.

The wage range is $13.50 - $15.00/hour, depending upon skills/experience.
Annual COLA and performance raises with potential bonuses.

90-day trial and training period after which you will receive your first wage increase

ABOUT US:

Across The Street Vintage and Resale is a West Salem gem of a retail shopping experience. We aim to engage the community by providing a safe place to shop and reasonable prices. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Greet customers
Interacting with customers
Loss Prevention
Cash Handling
Communicate information about merchandise
Cleaning, dusting, including restrooms
Restocking and facing the merchandise
Operating the cash register
Pricing inventory
Counting inventory
Merchandise restoration and cleaning
Opening and Closing
MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Standing for periods of 4-8 hours
Lifting up to 50 pounds
Basic math skills, specifically with counting cash back to customers
Basic problem solving
Clear and concise English speaker
Good listener
Ability to work effectively in a team setting and also individually.

Our ideal candidate would be someone who exemplifies the word “meticulous,” We operate our success by being welcoming and providing excellent customer service. We are looking for someone who will enjoy a challenge while working as efficiently and accurately as possible. We encourage slow and meticulous over fast. Quality over quantity. We have rush-hours of customers during the day and throughout the year, and therefore are looking for someone who can cope well with the added stress of providing service to multiple customers. Someone who can think on their feet, troubleshoot, and communicate clearly and effectively with management and their peers. We are a small team, so someone with a friendly, easy-going attitude would be ideal. A creative person with experience with retail customer service, stocking shelves, and upselling. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who will enjoy this work, take pride in the merchandise we sell, and become a contributing member of the Across The Street team.
