Orchard & Vineyard Supply is in need of a Retail/Delivery staff member at our Lafayette location. This job will primarily consist of picking and fulfilling warehouse orders and over the counter sales. In addition, this position may be responsible for driving, loading and unloading goods for on-site deliveries. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Communicating With and Providing Exemplary Customer Service to External and Internal Partners.
• Operate Company Vehicles for the delivery, pickup and relocation of Orchard & Vineyard Supply Product and Materials.
• Completing over the counter sales and taking orders to be fulfilled. (Prior warehouse or retail sales experience a plus.)
• Receival, accounting and inspection of shipments received daily.
• Cleaning and facing of facility for daily inside sales.
• Convey needs of warehouse to management and fellow employees daily.
• Driving, loading and unloading goods for on-site deliveries. (Forklift experience a plus.)
• Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

POSITION TYPE

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are mostly Monday through Friday.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local during the business day to our external customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Completion of High School Education and/or GED Equivalency. Must have valid drivers license. Must possess good oral communication skills and sound analytical skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales invoices, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively individually and before groups of co-workers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
