YOUR LIFE AS A RESTAURANT EXPEDITOR / FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT

This full- or part-time food service position with our restaurant works a flexible schedule that can include weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Shifts range from 4 to 8 hours, and split shifts (doubles) may be occasionally scheduled depending on business needs.

As a Restaurant Expeditor / Food Service Assistant with our hospitality team, you play an essential role in ensuring that orders flow in an efficient manner from our servers to the kitchen. You transfer important information between the kitchen and waitstaff as well as ensure that orders are being prepared with the correct priority. Using exceptional problem-solving skills, you eliminate any obstacles that are affecting service, food preparation lines, or dishwashing stations. Whenever guest comments or complaints arise, you report them to management in a timely manner.

In addition, you report any employee or guest accidents that occur. You also attend all scheduled meetings and training as well as maintain a working knowledge of the food and beverage industry to continuously improve at your job. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge about the beverage and food service or hospitality industry
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time as well as move and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent customer service skills

At least one year of experience working in a restaurant is preferred. Club experience would be a plus but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
