Starting Compensation Range: $18.50 - $23 per hour
The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Residential Shift Lead to join our Residential Treatment Program. The Residential Shift Lead supervises the Residential campus milieu, generally on the second shift. Ensures a positive treatment environment and desired treatment outcomes. Coaches team members on proper youth care skills and procedures. Ensures compliance and safety standards are maintained. Responds to crisis situations.
Schedule: Full-time, Non-exempt (2nd Shift: 3p - 11p, Some weekends required)
Location: Grove City, OH
What you'll do:
- Regularly provides training of youth leaders, role models and coaches team members on proper youth care skills and procedures. Coaches and counsels’ staff on meeting applicable standards
- Advises staff of policies and communications
- Promotes an ongoing culture of employee recognition and creates an atmosphere of teamwork. Recognizes employees in public and corrects in private
- Works to achieve high employee satisfaction and retention
- Possesses the knowledge and skills of those positions he/she supervises, to the appropriate level necessary, in both capacity and scope
- Organizes and manages multiple tasks; keeps management informed in a timely fashion
- Is knowledgeable about job safety duties/responsibilities and demonstrates safe work practices as it pertains to the position held. Promptly reports unsafe conditions, situations, incidents, or injuries
- Advocates on behalf of clients and families with external agencies, within the family, and internally
- Handles difficult situations in a professional and respectful manner. Is quality-focused, timely, and exhibits a solid work ethic
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma required
- Minimum of one-year behavioral health experience in residential facility serving youth preferred. Demonstration of residential direct care competency.
- Past leadership experience preferred
- Proof of driver's license and proof of insurance
