Job description

The company buys foreclosures or distressed properties to flip or convert to rentals. It is currently a single-person company looking to hire a construction assistant for the current property being renovated. The company is based in Huntsville and covers Madison County and surrounding counties. The current property is located in Arab and is expected to be completed in June 2023. The ideal candidate will either be local to Madison County so that they can support future renovation projects, or be local to Arab for this specific project. Note: This job posting is specific to the current property being renovated and there is no guarantee that the individual will be retained for the next renovation project.

Duties for the current project include removing paneling, installing drywall, removing popcorn ceiling, painting, digging footers for the deck, landscaping, installing a fence, installing insulation under the house, and general cleanup tasks. The position includes signing for deliveries and providing access to the house for other construction workers.

Part-time or Full time: Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hrs/wk if seeking part-time employment.

Position Requirements:

- No experience is required for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn

- Must be able to lift 50-pound bags of cement mix and sustain a rapid pace for a full day while doing physically demanding work

- Must be able to read a delivery invoice and check delivery contents against the invoice

- Must be able to relay owner’s guidance to installation crews

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
