JOB SUMMARY
This role is a critical partner in the success of Cortland at the community level. The Concierge is a key contributor to the resident experience and is responsible for providing exemplary customer service, guest management, and vendor engagement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provides information regarding Cortland Community, local neighborhood, surrounding area, including directions, attractions, shopping, nightlife, or recreational opportunities.
- Acquires tickets to special events or makes reservations for clients at a variety of venues, including for dinner, recreation times (e.g., golf or tennis), or spa treatments.
- Manage inbound phone calls and emails from residents, prospects, visitors, and vendors.
- Coordinates key release for residents with visitors, guests, and service vendors.
- Runs appropriate errands for guests and picks up or delivers a variety of items.
- Provides a variety of business services such as shipping packages and assisting with printing needs.
- Receives, stores, and/or delivers mail and packages.
- Assists community team with event scheduling, planning and management.
- Connects residents to service providers to meet specific resident needs.
- Engages prospects as first representation of Cortland community leasing team.
- Greets vendors and visitors at front desk and provides wayfinding to leasing office, amenity spaces, and resident apartment homes
- Build and establish a collaborative partnership with onsite community teams, portfolio leadership, sales performance and the corporate teams to help nurture and enrich the company culture and its guiding principles and mission.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
IDEAL KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in real estate, property management, hotel management, hospitality or other related fields.
- Ability to build rapport with residents, guests, visitors, and vendors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Availability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Expert time-management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to an often-changing and rapid-paced work environment
- Ability to solve resident issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Excellent customer service skills while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism
- Highschool diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of STRONG customer service experience.
- Hospitality experience preferred.
- Prolonged periods of standing at a welcome desk.
- Must be able to lift up to 15-20 pounds at a time.
