Job Description:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Project Coordinator II for the Rutgers’ National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER). The Project Coordinator II will coordinate various aspects of preschool education research and evaluation projects at the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER).
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Plans for and coordinates the data collection effort in association with 2-3 research and evaluation projects.
- Prepares and delivers trainings for data collection efforts.
- Maintains project documentation in association with early education research projects.
- Supports other research projects or tasks as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- BA degree in early childhood education or a social science (psychology, anthropology, sociology, human development, education) or an equivalent combination of
education and/or experience.
- Two years of experience in research, coordination or early childhood settings.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver’s license would be required for this position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with early childhood research and early childhood assessment measures.
- Must possess strong communication and organizational skills, capacity for independent work, and successful experiences working with early childhood education providers.
- Experience in two or more of the following also required: e.g. CLASS, APEEC, CASEBA, ECERS-3.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Spanish bilingual, highly proficient in use of Spanish in research activities.
- Experience in research and managing large-scale projects, and experience working in early childhood systems in New Jersey.
- Experience with training in early childhood child assessments such as the NAEPSY, Peg-Tapping, DCCS.
Equipment Utilized:
- SPSS and a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- The work will include site visits and training data collectors to administer assessments one-on-one with infants and/or young children in child care/school/center settings.
Special Conditions:
- Availability to travel is required.
- The position will need to follow, and ensure Data Collectors follow, all applicable Federal (CDC), State, Local, School District, Rutgers, and IRB Policies, Procedures, and Protocols in effect at the time of hire and as they may be amended.
- Clean driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $51,359.00 - $76,460.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
