We are looking for a Research Analyst (Part - Time) up to 15 hrs weekly to join our Fixed-Income Research efforts. It's a unique and dynamic role, full of opportunity to create new ideas, shape industry thinking, develop client relationships and help shape dv01's mortgage, consumer unsecured, and ESG market presence. The role offers flexibility and presents a unique opportunity to utilize your financial acumen in a start-up capacity while expanding your knowledge base in the latest technology.

You Will:

• Work with unique, proprietary data and analytics to develop unheralded new research content, trading strategies and market insights - that will be distributed and built into our platform
• Partner with our VP of Research to generate written research for client consumption
• Construct and publish new mortgage, consumer unsecured, and ESG insights
• Develop an understanding of market dynamics regarding ESG products, in both mortgages and other consumer credit products
• Be responsible for debugging and improving existing code, creating new functions to extract performance data, and programmatically create charts/info for reports.
• Hone your understanding of financial technology and data engineering

You Have:

• Experience with R and SQL to perform data analysis.
• Basic data engineering experience, familiarity with how to load data into a SQL database
• You have experience working with financial data. Experience working with loan-level servicing data and securitizations is preferable, but not required.
• An understanding of market dynamics, existing analytical frameworks
• High energy, self-motivated, creative and organized
• You love the intricate details of a thorough analysis, but also stay aware of the bigger picture while operating across multiple threads of work. You're able to communicate your findings and opinions internally, as well as in external publications.
