Job description
Position Summary: Performs secretarial duties including typing, word processing, shorthand, and filing, answering phones, and making copies. Greets, assists, and directs patients, visitors, and other Hospital callers. Completes or initials original billing for one or more pay classes. Must demonstrate working knowledge of insurance and/or third party payor reimbursement procedures. May be involved in the supervision and education of high school and college students. May perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: [Required] High school diploma or equivalent. BLS. Demonstrate competency in the Secretary Position accountabilities and performance criteria; Conversant in medical terminology as required in Physical Therapy; Transcription (Dictaphone) skills.
