Senior Software Engineer (Full-time)

About the Position

Senior Software Engineer to join our team of dynamic engineers. You will be responsible for managing a team of web and mobile developers building next-generation software for the food distribution industry. This role is 40% hands on development and 60% management and mentoring of the team. Must be able to prioritize tasks and strive to ensure 100% uptime of critical software systems. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker who has outstanding communication and leadership skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of web and mobile developers

• Full-stack application development using web-based technologies

• Test, debug, troubleshoot, and upgrade software

• Follow the software development lifecycle processes

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a web-based software engineer

• Experience with full-stack application development using web-based technologies

• Knowledge of SQL; table design, queries, stored procedures.

• Experience with PHP (7.x), Angular 2+, and Ionic Framework 3 / 4

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Must be a self-starter, critical-thinker, solution-seeker, and problem-solver

Experience that is a plus, but not required -

• Lumen 5+, Zend Framework, ExtJS / SenchaTouch, REST / SOAP / JSON-RPC, PostgreSQL, PHPUnit, Jenkins and Linux Systems Administration (CentOS/RHEL)

• Familiarity with ERP systems and online order entry

• Experience working in the food service industry

Location

• Our office is located in Branford, CT, but open to a hybrid or fully remote schedule for the right candidate.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
