Registered RespiratoryTherapist (RRT)
HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is a 423-bed acute care hospital that has been serving the north Houston community for more than 40 years, providing a wide range of medical services including cardiology, maternity care, neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, bariatrics and neurology.
HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.
What you will do in this role:
- Proficient in all respiratory procedures and equipments that applies to patient of all ages.
- Proficient in clinical documentation
- Excellent problem solving and innovative skills.
- Demonstrate professional practice and conduct at all times.
- Execellent communication skills with customers and healthcare team.
- Participates in Departmental Performance Improvement program as appropriate.
- Excellent organizational skills
What qualifications you will need:
- Completion of a two-year Associate of Science respiratory care program or Equivalent. Must have credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- PREFERRED EDUCATION: Completion of a four-year respiratory care program with a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association (BLS OR BCLS, and ALS OR ACLS) Course Completion and Certification. RRT, Current license as aRespiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Texas Department of Health
- One year of clinical practice in respiratory care in an acute care hospital setting. Advanced credentials in one or more of the following: NBRC Specialty(pediatric/neonatal or pulmonary function), NRP or PALS (preferred)
