The campus is conveniently located just minutes away from both the airport and downtown Providence. AdCare RI is also located close to pristine beaches and recreational areas. The newly renovated facility is outfitted with semi-private rooms with baths, fitness center, basketball court, and many other amenities. Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for all patients on the unit. This position assesses patients, conducts pre-certification evaluations, and implements specific detoxification protocols, as designated by the Medical Director. The RN is also responsible for recording and administering all medications prescribed to clients. Must follow all policies and procedures for clinical documentation. Qualifications:

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for all patients on the unit. This position assesses patients, conducts pre-certification evaluations, and implements specific detoxification protocols, as designated by the Medical Director. The RN is also responsible for recording and administering all medications prescribed to clients. Must follow all policies and procedures for clinical documentation.
Education/Experience:
- Ability to read, write, communicate and understand directions in English.
- Demonstrates accuracy in taking manual vital signs.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required to gather information from individuals, build relationships, intervene in difficult situations and provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and multitask.
- Computer literate. Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Knowledge of addiction and chemical dependency.
- Ability to use defibrillation equipment. Must have excellent nursing skills.
- Experience working in detox, addiction, and mental health environments is preferred.
- RN license and CPR certification required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor Degree in Nursing required.
