Hillcrest Hospital Claremore is an acute care medical center located in Claremore, Oklahoma, and offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services including maternity, cardiology, emergency, orthopedics and surgery.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Registered Nurse in the LDRP unit include, but are not limited to caring for women and their infants before, during and after the birth process. Continuous monitoring of mothers and infants providing intrapartum and postpartum care. Providing education and support to mothers about the care of their newborn including breastfeeding and home care. A strong attention to detail and excellent communication necessary.
Qualifications:
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid Oklahoma or Multi-state RN license
- Current BLS certification required, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) required within (6) months, or more current years of acute care experience as a RN with (1) year experience in Labor and Delivery preferred.
- Demonstrates ability to perform the technical skills and critical thinking outlined in performance standards.
- Must be able to provide nursing care to patients of all ages; infants to geriatric population.
- Demonstrates leadership and teaching skills
- Proficient typing and computer skills preferred.
