About The East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical Center

East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical Center is the region's preferred facility for cardiovascular care. The six-story tower houses clinical space, diagnostic services and cardiovascular operating rooms, including a hybrid operating room. It features 120 beds for patients undergoing procedures for cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.

About The Cardiac/Vascular/Thoracic Operating Room

6 state-of-the art Operating Room Suites with Storz One Integration including 1 Hybrid Operating Room.

• Vascular Surgery - Open Endovascular Abdominal, Peripheral Vascular, Cartoid, Stenting and Angioplasty procedures
• Cardiac Surgery - Coronary Bypass, Valve Repair and Replacement, Minimal Invasive and Robotic Valves, Trans Catheter Valve Replacements.
• Thoracic Surgery - Open Thoracotomy and Video Assisted Thoracoscopy, Esophageal/Hernia Repairs, Bronchoscopy, Esophagoscopy, Robotics

Position Summary

The Assistant Nurse Manager- OR (ANM - OR) is a professional nurse who demonstrates expertise utilizing the concepts of participative management.

The ANM-OR has the responsibility and authority for assisting with operational management of the department. AMong these responsibilities are coordinating, evaluating improving nurse care, providing support to the Nurse Manager-OR and assisting the department leadership in promoting safe, cost effective and quality patient care on a daily basis.

Minimum Requirements

BSN is required.

Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state Health Care Provider is required.

3 to 5 years of experience with at least 2 years of recent OR clinical experience with 1 year in OR specialty required.

Basic Life Support is required.

Preferred Requirements

MSN preferred.

One year of progressive leadership experience preferred.

CNOR preferred.
