StoneRidge has Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) roles for First Shift (7am - 3 pm) in our 40-bed skilled nursing facility!

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the overall nursing care/service on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
• Administers direct care as necessary.
• Gives and receives shift reports.
• Rounds at least twice a shift to assure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
• Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in resident’s condition.
• Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
• MDS Backup and Nursing Input as needed.

OTHER DUTIES:

• Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
• Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered including Medicare required documentation to support regulations.
• Responds to resident emergency call system.
• Interfaces with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services.
• Accompanies physicians when making rounds.
• Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence
• Participates in family/resident counseling as necessary.
• Attends required in-services and meetings to maintain professional knowledge and facility standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered Nurse (RN) currently licensed in the State of Connecticut (required)
• Current CPR certification (preferred)
• Geriatric/rehabilitation experience with a good understanding of restorative nursing (preferred)
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Ability to document care given legibly.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally.

Pay: $34.00 - $42.00 per hour
