JOB SUMMARY
The position helps manage the flow of operations by triaging patients, managing respite, ensuring all physician orders are complete and assisting other staff as needed. Although this position works in collaboration with the Clinic Administrative Assistant Dental Hygienist, Mental Health providers and reports to the Director of Health Care Services and Volunteer Medical Director; the Registered Nurse will need to have the ability to make autonomous decisions that directly impact patient care.

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS
- Evidence of positive Christian Witness and lifestyle.
- Patient and loving attitude.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong oral and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, EHRs working knowledge of HIPPA, OSHA and health care clinic guidelines and regulations.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work alongside volunteers.
- Ability to greet and facilitate registration of patients.
- Ability to relate to health care professionals and agencies on behalf of the clinic.
- Ability to speak at churches and organizations about the work of the Mission and its medical clinic as coordinated through the development office.
JOB DUTIES
- Triage patients for Medical, Dental, Mental Health, and Optometry Clinics.
- Orient Volunteers to appropriate clinic duties.
- Assist clinical staff/volunteers as needed with clinical procedures and medications.
- Check charts and complete/note orders in appropriate places.
- Maintain a neat and orderly supply closet.
- Review facility discharges and manage respite, including intakes.
- Participate in Mission events.
- Keep the Director of Health Care Services informed of clinical and administrative issues.
- Organize Lab Orders including Urine Drug Screening.
- Attend meetings, seminars, etc. as requested.
- Volunteer Engagement is a strategy that builds the capacity of the Rescue Mission through employee and volunteer partnership. It is built on the development and implementation of high-impact, meaningful volunteer opportunities that create positive outcomes for the organization and the volunteer.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Health Care Services or Volunteer Medical Director.
