General Summary: The Residential RN (Roving) performs clinical and administrative activities within designated residential programs. This individual is responsible for coordinating medical care and best practices between residential staff and members at multiple facilities. Required to be familiar with, abide by, and enforce all State of Arizona, AZ Health Plans and Federal regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works in close collaboration with residential staff and other medical services staff and management to implement clear processes for medication services and physical health integration ensuring the highest level of quality care for patients.
  • Conducts and documents ongoing Medical Case Management for all identified high risk members placed in residential facilities.
  • Participates in medical review of potential admissions to ensure medical appropriateness for placement in residential facilities and documents appropriately.
  • Collaborates with referral sources to ensure timely receipt of current, accurate medical documentation.
  • Performs nursing skills including but not limited to vital signs monitoring, vaccination and follow-up, timely medication administration as ordered by provider, wound care, comprehensive nursing assessments, and providing full support and assistance during all phases of treatment programs.
  • Makes independently appropriate, sound, critical decisions based upon nursing scope of practice guidelines
  • Works closely with residential admissions staff and referring organizations ensuring prescribed medication is on hand and or coordinated for pick-up.
  • Documents services, billable and non-billable activities, in the EHR within 24 hours of service delivery. Medical services must demonstrate medical necessity.
  • Provides training and materials for staff and members as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of agency rules, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Ability to perform technical operations utilizing telemedicine.
  • Responsible for following all policies, procedures and controls established by the organization, the HIPAA Privacy Officer, and/or the HIPAA Security officer regarding access to, protection of, and the use of PHI.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • License-Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in Arizona.
  • Experience-Minimum two (2) years' experience as a registered nurse; preferably in mental health setting.
REGULATORY:
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination required.
  • DPS Level I fingerprint clearance (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certification, if required (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
  • Current, valid Arizona Driver’s License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements, if required.
  • Initial current negative TB test result, if required (Employer provides).
