We are a family oriented dental practice in Haughton, LA looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our team. We strive to maintain a relaxed office environment where patient care comes first. Our office offers a reasonable patient load and regular hours, with Fridays and weekends off.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Dental Hygienist licensure is required
• Understanding and knowledge of HIPPA privacy rules
• Must have high ethical standards and value patient care above all else
• Must be a service-oriented team player that maintains a positive attitude
• Proven experience as a dental hygienist is a plus but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Perform the duties of a dental hygienist, prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, radiographs, intraoral photos, etc...
• Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, proper brushing techniques)
• Keep the operatory clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain accurate patient records

Office hours for Hygienist:

M-W 8AM to 5PM

Th 7AM to 3PM
