Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company's sole discretion and the wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At SNAHC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $81,484.40- $110,243.60
Position Summary:
Sacramento Native American Health Center in Midtown Sacramento is seeking RDA-EF2's that want to join our growing dental team. We are looking for RDA-EF2's to act as a mid-level providers in the dental clinic and assist in maintaining patients schedules under the supervision of the dentists. The RDA-EF2's will also assist in enabling the dentists to make more efficient use of their time by carrying out specific tasks. Essential Functions:
- Welcome patients to the dental office
- All duties that an RDA is allowed to perform.
- Conduct preliminary evaluation of the patient's oral health, including, but not limited to, charting, intraoral and extra-oral evaluation of soft tissue, classifying occlusion, and my functional evaluation.
- Perform oral health assessments in school-based, community health project settings under the direction of a dentist registered dental hygienist, or registered dental hygienist in alternative practice.
- Cord retraction of gingival for impression procedures.
- Size and fit endodontic master points and accessory points.
- Cement endodontic master points and accessory points.
- Take final impressions for permanent indirect restorations. (language updated)
- Take final impressions for a tooth-borne removable prosthesis.
- Polish and adjust contour existing amalgam restorations.
- Ability to chart visits comprehensively and complete E&M coding in compliance with dental coding standards.
- Place, contour, finish and adjust all direct restorations (composite and amalgam).
- Adjust and cement permanent indirect restorations.
- Other procedures are authorized by regulations adopted by the board.
- Compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations, as they pertain to position including; HIPAA, sexual harassment, Scope of Practice, OSHA, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess current RDAEF2 licensure from an accredited school.
- Must possess dental x-ray and coronal polish license.
- Must have current CPR certification
- Must have current 8 hr. Infection Control Certification
- Must have current Dental Practice Act Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree in the Health & Human Services.
- Experience in a community dental clinic setting
- Ability to work with little supervision
- 1 year of experience as an RDAEF2 in a clinic setting
- Experience with Nextgen or other electronic dental record systems preferred
- Experience with Dental Billing
- Experience with Denti-Cal guidelines
