Position Summary:

Sacramento Native American Health Center in Midtown Sacramento is seeking RDA-EF2's that want to join our growing dental team. We are looking for RDA-EF2's to act as a mid-level providers in the dental clinic and assist in maintaining patients schedules under the supervision of the dentists. The RDA-EF2's will also assist in enabling the dentists to make more efficient use of their time by carrying out specific tasks. Essential Functions:

• Welcome patients to the dental office
• All duties that an RDA is allowed to perform.
• Conduct preliminary evaluation of the patient's oral health, including, but not limited to, charting, intraoral and extra-oral evaluation of soft tissue, classifying occlusion, and my functional evaluation.
• Perform oral health assessments in school-based, community health project settings under the direction of a dentist registered dental hygienist, or registered dental hygienist in alternative practice.
• Cord retraction of gingival for impression procedures.
• Size and fit endodontic master points and accessory points.
• Cement endodontic master points and accessory points.
• Take final impressions for permanent indirect restorations. (language updated)
• Take final impressions for a tooth-borne removable prosthesis.
• Polish and adjust contour existing amalgam restorations.
• Ability to chart visits comprehensively and complete E&M coding in compliance with dental coding standards.
• Place, contour, finish and adjust all direct restorations (composite and amalgam).
• Adjust and cement permanent indirect restorations.
• Other procedures are authorized by regulations adopted by the board.
• Compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations, as they pertain to position including; HIPAA, sexual harassment, Scope of Practice, OSHA, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess current RDAEF2 licensure from an accredited school.
• Must possess dental x-ray and coronal polish license.
• Must have current CPR certification
• Must have current 8 hr. Infection Control Certification
• Must have current Dental Practice Act Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree in the Health & Human Services.
• Experience in a community dental clinic setting
• Ability to work with little supervision
• 1 year of experience as an RDAEF2 in a clinic setting
• Experience with Nextgen or other electronic dental record systems preferred
• Experience with Dental Billing
• Experience with Denti-Cal guidelines
