Job description
DroneUp is seeking a Regional TDI Specialist to enhance the company’s ability to test, develop, and implement drone operations. This person will help lead the process of outfitting new delivery hub locations with our aircraft as well as ensuring their proper and safe operation. They will also assist in the creation of new safety procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Travel to new delivery hubs and assist in their setup and implementation
- Ensure that our drones are fitted with the required hardware to operate
- Ensure that our drones and all related equipment have the proper software and firmware
- Work closely and cooperatively with the rest of the Flight Operations team
- Develop and implement new tactics and procedures to enhance safety for hub operations
- Assist in the testing and development of new technologies
- Assist in the creation of informational and safety material for our new drone pilots
- Travel required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- FAA Part 107 certification required
- 400+ flight hours preferred
- Skilled knowledge of UAV and UAS systems required
- Experience with ArduPilot and Auterion systems is very useful
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Experience in Google Suite
- Capable of working remotely and autonomously
