Regional Sales Lead, Catalog Product Business Unit

Description:Job Scope:
Regional Sales Lead will direct, support and drive sales efforts in a geographically defined region within the US. RSL will have an independent geographic region and is responsible to develop the sales and maximize profits, for all business units in their respective geographical region with focused efforts on designated key organizations within the region.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Head of US Commercial and Head of NA Sales & Tech Support in planning, budgeting and managing for designated region.
- Develop and implement effective strategic sales plans and lead the regional sales team to achieve objectives established in the Business Unit’s strategic planning.
- Collaborate with Marketing, SM, PM, Production teams to optimize lead generation efforts and sales strategies, and provide inputs to enhance our offerings and services.
- Provide leadership in the day-to-day operations to designated regional BD team.
- Achieve sales goals of assigned region by developing and implementing sales strategies.
- Manage sales pipeline and ensure sustainable sales growth.
- Analyze sales performance and identify gaps and create detailed improvement plan.
- Contribute to GenScript University by develop training materials and deliver training sessions for effective application based selling.
- Propose new ideas or innovations to boost sales or improvements.
- Manage sales team, including but not limited to, hiring, training, coaching and developing talents.
- Maximize productivity and efficiency by collaborating with other departments.
Requirements:Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and above in life science discipline, with hands on laboratory experience.
- Previous team management experience is a big plus.
- Minimum of 5 year successful sales, technical support, and research experience combined.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of the life science and CRO markets with an emphasis on one or more of the following: gene synthesis, protein expression, peptide, bioassay, antibody or cell line development.
- Ability to coach and direct individuals to improve performance.
- Ability to operate effectively and succeed in an international business environment.
- Travel up to 40% in the field when situation allows. Conduct proactive virtual selling at remote work mode.
