Southshore Companies is a regional contract warehouse services provider. We operate warehouses in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska. This position requires travel between specific warehouses located in Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska. You may office from home or from one of the warehouse locations. A company car, phone and laptop will be provided.
We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in inventory, material management and logistics in the agricultural products and seed industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive SAP R3 experience and a deep understanding of the seed manufacturing and distribution business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee processes and best practices that improve inventory accuracy
- Review material forecasts to determine efficient inventory put away and movement strategies.
- Review and modify warehouse layout and bin configurations to create efficiencies
- Travel and hotel overnights required to support warehouse sites
- Monitor and ensure adherence to material movement policy.
- Oversee audit and inventory cycle count programs
- Develop and oversee effective material movement training programs
- Evaluate and recommend changes to warehouse equipment
Education and Experience
- Multiple years of experience in materials management, inventory control and related systems software required.

- Salary: $75,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
