Regional Director of Sales- Courtyard by Marriott and Hampton Inn & Suites Fort Wayne, IN

The Regional Director of Sales, Midwest Region is based at the Courtyard by Marriott and Hampton Inn & Suites Fort Wayne, IN, with direct oversight of these two hotels as well as multiple others within the Midwest region. The Regional Director of Sales works closely with hotel sales staff, Revenue Management Team, and hotel General Managers to develop and implement strategies and objectives for hotels to drive measurable, incremental revenue. They are a leader in their field, and they inspire the sales teams. Some travel is required, primarily withing IN, IL.

ZMC is growing to 43 hotels across 15 states.

This job might be for you if you can:

  • Discover new sales opportunities through cold calls weekly.
  • Conduct maintenance visits with your top accounts monthly.
  • Be responsible for specific markets which include but may not be limited to corporate accounts, government, and FIT’s.
  • Enjoy and are aware of local activities and attend functions to represent the hotel such as chamber meetings, travel shows, and other opportunities.
  • Handle incoming sales calls and conduct property tours with potential customers.
  • Maintain an organized filing system of accounts and complete all necessary sales paperwork.
  • Communicate bookings and customer needs to onsite hotel employees in order to provide a smooth transition.
  • Participate in monthly sales meetings with new ideas and sales opportunities.
  • Uncover new sales business in neighboring cities.

We need someone who:

  • Is energetic, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
  • Hospitality Sales experience is a plus!
  • Has knowledge of the surrounding community and its current events.
  • Communicates effectively to create a great impression in writing, telephone, and personal meeting situations.
  • Has a valid driver's license and insurance.
