GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Branch Administrator oversees assigned brick and mortar and mobile branches. This position provides leadership and direction to Branch and Mobile Unit Managers. Responsible for quality customer service, operational integrity and audit results, manages profitability, expense, and loss control. Responsible for manager selection and manager development.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist CRO in budgeting process for related departments.
  • Responsible for overseeing Retail Operations.
  • Coordinate the efforts of different operational areas to ensure minimal duplication efforts maximum efficiency and to maximize value.
  • Assist CRO in researching and recommending products to enhance the Bank’s product offerings to remain competitive, which includes testing of electronic banking functionality, including ATM, online banking, bill payment, bill presentment, mobile banking, mobile bank unit, mobile deposit and other electronic applications.
  • Assist CRO in developing plans to fully implement and adequately test systems.
  • Ensure sufficient employee and customer education, training and support are provided.
  • Responsible for manager development through various training mediums.
  • Provide supervision of the Bank’s retail banking and customer service areas.
  • Establish procedures to maintain high standard of customer service.
  • Manage general operation functions of the retail banking and customer service environments.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate system of internal controls.
  • Work with the Compliance Department and Loan and Deposit Operations Managers to identify, develop, implement, and ensure employee are trained on new products and services.
  • Periodically create, review, and update policies and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain an appropriate system of internal operational controls.
  • Review and recommend operations policies and procedures.
  • Provide manager training and guidance as necessary; identify, plan and implement procedural changes as required.
  • Vendor Management and Contract Administration
  • Responsible for overall Vendor Management Program within assigned areas.
  • Responsible to effectively negotiate terms and cost with third-party vendors for new and renewal contracts.
  • Responsible, in conjunction with Bank counsel, to review new bank contracts to ensure contracts provide the appropriate vendor management safeguards as well as fulfilling the FFIEC 3rd party vendor guidelines and GLBA requirements.
  • Reviews SSAE16’s and related reports for certain vendors/service providers on an annual basis.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the bank’s products and services. Ensure that staff maintain a similar level of knowledge.
  • Ensure branches remain compliant in hiring practices.
  • Ensure all branches are compliant with audit and security standards, policies and procedures, and loss prevention measures.
  • Ensure that the physical environment of all branches is maintained according to Bank of Bird-in-Hand’s standards and the staff reflects the desired level of professionalism.
  • Conduct monthly spot audits on OCR, Head Teller, and Vault.
  • Serve as a member on various committees as assigned.
  • Travel to branches as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Five years directly related experience in a Financial Institution in Teller Operations.
  • Four years supervisory experience.
  • Must have through knowledge of operational policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with customers and employees.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • MS Office Suite experience.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
