Job Responsibilities:

1. Equipment and Tools Used: Wheelbarrow, shovels, pick, bars, brooms, trash and batt hoppers, hammers, sledge, pallet jack, lift trucks, power pushers, kiln cars, pallets, gauges, ink paint, stencils, templates, aluvac bags, plastic bags, pallet inverter, pallet shrinker, various hand tools and equipment.

2. Materials Used: Comeback materials, green and burned refractories, debris, wax and various additives. Paint, ink, templates, stencils, foam, aluvac, plastic bags, pallets, chalk cardboard, banding materials, labels, metal plates, cardboard spacers.

3. Operation: Performs numerous duties throughout the plant that he is qualified to perform, such as cleaning pits, floors and crushing batts. In addition, will be used to supplement the scheduled or unscheduled work force by performing such duties as press operator, wrapping, brick handler and packager, material handler, kiln helper, warehouse, sacker, hacker, outside yard, hauling pans or pallets, unloading and cleaning pans and tanks and other non-qualified jobs as assigned by the supervisor.

4. Nature of Work: Work is routine with occasional variation. May lift up to 55 lbs from floor and handles an estimated 4,000 lbs per hour work load.

5. Job Conditions: Exposed to plant temperatures with some exposure to outside weather conditions. Exposed to some dust in some areas of the plant.

6. Technical Requirements: Works from verbal instructions with the equivalent of a 6th grade education and is able to meet job requirements within a period of one month adaptation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.13 per hour
