Pain Treatment Centers of America (PTCOA) is looking for a Receptionist to join our growing team!

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The position of Receptionist is responsible for relaying incoming telephone calls and greeting visitors in a professional manner while performing various patient intake duties.

JOB DUTIES

  • Consistently provides excellent patient service by maintaining the highest degree of courtesy, confidentiality, and professionalism, by, among other things, checking patients in timely and efficiently. Ensures that patients complete paperwork, confirm relevant information, and provide insurance information.
  • Collects patient co-pays or payments on outstanding balances.
  • Assists with patient scheduling and rescheduling.
  • Responsible for calculating and collecting copays, coinsurance, and deductibles.
  • Responsible for checking insurance eligibility and ensuring patient insurance information is current and up to date at time of service.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. This includes, for illustration purposes only and not by way of limitation, performing unique tasks associated with the location, such as maintaining a list of vendors and account information, submitting supply order forms, and organizing the filing system for account information. The Receptionist is also expected to be cross-trained to perform the duties of the UDT Processor when necessary.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

The position requires a high school diploma or educational equivalent. Two (2) years of prior general office experience is preferred.

HOURS

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are expected to include 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday through Thursday) or otherwise as assigned. Occasional overtime may be required.
