Klarus Home Health is looking for a receptionist to join our team. Primary responsibility is to facilitate the communications functions of the business office and provide clerical support.

Requirements:

Job Qualifications:

Education: High school graduate (college preferred).

Experience: One-year general office experience.

Skills: Excellent computer skills required, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Knowledge of medical

terminology preferred. Excellent phone skills.

Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.

Environmental and Working Conditions:

Works in a routine office environment. Noise level may be moderately high. The ability to work a flexible schedule and extended

hours. The ability to travel locally with some exposure to inclement weather.

Physical and Mental Effort:

Prolonged sitting and some standing required. The occasional need to lift, pull, carry, and push items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Frequent need to stoop, kneel, and reach while accessing files. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Requires problem solving skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Facilitates the communications system which may include mail distribution, pagers, phone system, memos, answers incoming calls, documents, and disseminates appropriate messages.
  • Provides clerical support which may include preparation of admission, orientation, and new hire packets; monitoring and ordering office supplies and forms; typing, special projects, filing, and copying.
  • Competently handle multi-line phone system. Demonstrates understanding of system features.
  • Promotes the Agency philosophy and mission by presenting a positive image to patients, families, physicians, and community agencies.
  • Uses effective customer service skills when directing calls and assisting others.
  • Provides computer support and data entry.
  • Promotes effective communication to patient, families, team members, and other healthcare professionals, and
  • maintains confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties as required.
