To assist in achievement of the company’s strategic objective and annual goals through the delivery of exceptional service and support reflective of Hiller Plumbing Heating Cooling and Electrical (the Company) vision, mission, purpose, and values.

Pay Rate: $18-$20 an hour DOE

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers reflective of the Company values by greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and responding to incoming inquiries from current and potential customers.

  • Effective communication when responding to customer, vendor, technician, sales staff, and department personnel inquiries via telephone, email, and written correspondence.

  • Always demonstrate a friendly and welcoming attitude to staff and visitors.

  • Greet and escort visitors to designated waiting area, office, or conference room.

  • Ensure reception area remains clean and organized at all times to maintain a professional appearance.

  • Assist in the planning and preparation of conferences.

  • Sort and distribute in-, out-going mail, and front desk deliveries.

  • Respond to incoming inquiries from current and potential customers via chat, email, and SMS in a friendly manner with timeliness and accuracy.

  • Maintain customer database with complete, accurate and updated information in a timely manner.

  • Perform administrative duties to assist with the overall efficiency of the department.

  • Effectively manage conflict resolution with customers, vendors, technicians, sales staff, and department personnel and provide an expedited response using clear communication to address the concern, answer the question, and or provide a solution to the problem.

  • Promptly report customer service issues when received to the appropriate leader.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Customer Service experience preferred, but not required.

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.

  • Communicate clearly in a positive, encouraging manner.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Function in a team or independent work environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds.

  • Have good visual acuity and sufficient functioning to operate computer-aided call management hardware, software, and communications equipment.

  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, or weekends.

  • Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers (80% of the time) in a cubicle office environment.

  • Majority of the workday spent on the telephone interacting with customers and technicians.
