An established diversified real estate investment, private fund formation, and asset management firm based in Pasadena, CA is looking for top talent to join our team. The company has integrated expertise, experience and in-house department functionalities of origination, acquisitions, asset management, legal affairs, and accounting to efficiently source opportunities, allocate capital, and manage investments to disposition.

Ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player. You must be professional, highly organized, detailed-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and have a can-do attitude. The analyst will support the asset management and transaction team by performing market research, sourcing and maintaining information for the investment pipeline across target markets, underwriting prospective, developments, acquisitions, assisting during the due diligence and closing process, and providing ad-hoc support for special projects as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Project research and DD

• Gather, consolidate and analyze financial data

• Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks

• Develop financial models, conduct bench-marking and process analysis

• Compile and analyze financial reports and find discrepancies that require attention

• Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to improve performance

• Prepare financial reports with reliable conclusions

• Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models, trackers, and spreadsheets to monitor, analyze and report on performance of portfolio investments.

• Create and present financial models to evaluate debt and equity opportunities

• Support the acquisitions and development team by conducting pro forma analysis, preparing investment memorandums, and presenting investment recommendations

• Assess, critically evaluate, and report the existing and potential operating characteristics of projects (revenue, expenses, capital expenditures, tenant credit, leases, etc.)

• Research and present commercial, multifamily property comps, obtain, analyze and compare information for private loans and acquisitions

• Source, maintain, and summarize market research within internal databases

• Maintain and update acquisition pipeline and other reports for internal meetings

• Assist in underwriting potential investment opportunities by researching property, market, demographic, and other relevant information within target markets

• Coordinate and assist in the due diligence process related to transactions including third party reports, market analyses, rental surveys, property inspections, and other items as required

Basic Qualifications:

• Excel Financial modeling experience

• Passion for or demonstrated interest in real estate

• Masters degree in finance, real estate analysis, economics, or related.

• Coursework in Business, Finance, Economics, and/or Real Estate

• 3+ years, minimum real estate analysis experience

• Hardworking, analytical, detail-oriented and organized

• Strong skills in Excel (financial modeling), Word, and PowerPoint

• Track record of personal, educational, and professional success

• Ability to work independently and with guidance from senior management

• Ability to work under pressure and in a time sensitive environment

• Bilingual Mandarin is preferred but not required
