SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Reintegration Referral Coordinator will be responsible for fielding all referrals from the state and county for participants to the sub-awardees based on an assessment and need. This individual will be the point of contact for all parole, prison, and state agencies referring participants for re-entry services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Referral Coordinator will be responsible for working with the state and county parole boards to filter referrals to all regional organizations based on need and fit
- The Referral Coordinator will be the first point of contact for the returning residents and will complete an initial assessment before assigning them to an organization
- The Referral Coordinator will also work with a data consultant for referral and assignment data points
- The Referral Coordinator reports directly to Organizational and Regional leads
- The Referral Coordinator must establish rapport with each organizational lead to ensure intake and assessments are completed
- The Referral Coordinator will report at regional monthly meetings on the flow of referrals and capacity to serve
- Participates in organizational annual events including but not limited to the Puerto Rican People’s Parade, Fiesta Boricua, Three Kings Day, and Haunted Paseo Boricua
This position requires compliance with all of The PRCC’s written standards, including its Standards of Conduct, all policies and procedures, and Regulatory Compliance requirements. Compliance will be considered as part of the regular performance evaluation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum two years of experience working with returning citizens in a human service setting, trauma-informed care, social service setting, or related field preferred
- Combination of training, education, or lived experience working/participating in a program or organization serving individuals who are system impacted
- Knowledge and/or experience of jail/prison environment and knowledge of the criminal justice system preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license and an insured vehicle
SKILLS:
- Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
- Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends
LICENSURE:
- Certified peer support specialist preferred
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred with coursework in Social Sciences, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or a related field
- Combination of training, education, or lived experience working/participating in a program or organization serving individuals who are system impacted
- Knowledge and/or experience of jail/prison environment and knowledge of the criminal justice system preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
OSHA Category 3 – Involves no regular exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, and tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues are not a condition of employment.
