When you join PPGNY as a RPE Regional Coordinator you will develop, implement, and coordinate community level sexual violence primary prevention programs and initiatives.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assist in developing and implementing an outreach plan to raise awareness about crime victims and available services in the community.
- Develop community level prevention interventions and initiatives aimed at increasing awareness and use of community level primary prevention strategies within their service population
- Implement community level sexual violence prevention strategies aimed at changing people’s attitudes and behaviors or the environments and systems that are related to sexual violence
- Provide outreach to targeted communities and distributes literature and information about the issues of sexual assault and primary prevention.
- Contact with agencies or officials for the purpose of providing information about the issues of sexual assault and community level primary prevention strategies as well as creating policy changes and fostering community level change within designated counties
- Collaborate with all community partners of the RPE grant within Region 4 to coordinate and implement programming, events, trainings, and other activities throughout the designated counties
You have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of specialization such as human services, community organizing, psychology, social work or women’s studies
- Knowledge of current NYS learning standards, social media, marketing, community outreach and engagement and facilitation techniques. Adult learning theory, socio ecological model, community organizing.
- Regular travel within regional catchment area and beyond is required
- NYS Driver’s License and use of personal vehicle required.
Compensation:
- $40,00- 46,000 yearly

All positions at PPGNY require:
Proof of immunization or immunity to certain communicable diseases (including influenza during the flu season) and testing for tuberculosis. These certifications are required by the NYC DOHMH Health Code, NYSDOH and OSHA.
