A DP Laborer is responsible for providing physical support during all phases of railcar load adjustments and transfers. This support involves hand work, moving materials, site preparation and basic equipment operation.
Our success is based on the commitment and quality of work provided by our highly trained staff.
This position requires frequent travel, including overnight but you can be home most weekends. Overtime is required.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Damage Prevention Laborer include, but are not limited to:
· Arrive to work on-time and prepared.
· Able to lift 50+ pounds repetitively.
· Load, unload, and equipment.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
· Preform work in all weather conditions year-round.
· Provide quality work.
· Maintain a safe work environment.
· Maintain company equipment and vehicles.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in temperature and weather extremes.
- Ability to work at heights from ladders or man lifts.
- Ability to perform the following physical duties exerting maximum muscle force, including: Stooping, kneeling, bending, pushing, lifting, carrying, climbing, walking, and handling materials.
- Walk long distances over uneven terrain.
Job Requirements:
· Must have a valid US driver’s license.
· Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
· Ability to travel frequently.
· Be on call, and work swing shifts and weekends as needed.
· Comply with railroad safety standards.
· Must wear PPE when required.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
