About the role
Adhere to good laboratory practices (GLP), good manufacturing practices (GMP), and safety requirements.
Keeps immediate supervisor informed of relevant activities on shift and takes or recommends corrective action when required.
Responsible for the QA portion of raw material receiving (inspections, COAs, Kosher certs, reviews lot number and use by date, sample product, etc.).
Responsible for covering vacation coverage for QA technicians across all shifts.
Responsible for leading and training new QA technicians.
Conduct environmental monitoring sampling and testing and investigate and report positive results
Collect and send out water samples for micro testing.
Conduct verification of HACCP checks.
Perform laboratory equipment calibrations and standardizations and record findings.
Keep accurate inventory of all laboratory supplies and communicate what is needed.
Assist the supervisor in conducting special tasks or projects that may require organizing or
researching a project.
Assist in complaint investigations as needed
Maintain hold log, hold tags, and communicate holds
Required to have the flexibility to move between all shifts to conduct the necessary training and cover for vacancies as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned
