Mid-Continent Engineering is seeking a quality technical inspector for 1st Shift- Monday through Friday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for maintaining one customer.

Preparation of FAI documentation, AS9102 FAI Form 1, 2 and 3. Communication between Engineering and Quality via verbal and email communication.

Receiving Inspection, Technical Documentation Review, Organization and Filing

Filing of Certification(s) and related documentation in an Electronic Filing System

Preparation of FAI documentation packages to be submitted to MCE Customers

Copy and balloon drawings and parts lists using Inspection Expert to execute FAI documentation for submission of data package to the customer

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities:

Knowledge in Blueprint Reading and GD & T

Corrective Action, 5 Why – Documentation Process

Work Instruction creation – Documentation Process

QMS Internal Auditing ISO9000 / AS9100

Create FAI Form AS9102, balloon to OSV, and receive back into MCE Quality department.

Miscellaneous projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:

10 years minimum experience with precision machined parts, special processes and complex assemblies.

Experience with RCCA and 5 Why Analysis problem solving tool.

Experience with direct interaction with the customer

Fluent with complex mechanical inspection, visual inspection and GD and T

Excellent attention to detail skills

Experience with FAI’s, AS9102 and complex documentation packages submitted to customer.

Full understanding of Configuration Management

Excellent skills in relationship building.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems & implementation.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Strong computer skills including QA applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

Competency Training Requirements

ISO 9000 / AS9100 Quality Systems

Other Training Requirements

Right To Blueprint Reading, GD & T, ISO9000 / AS9100, AS9102 FAI Preparation, PPAP, APQP

Physical Demands

Regularly required to sit; occasionally required to stand, reach, bend and move throughout the facility.

Must be able to safely work in and around facility, following required safety procedures, and, where applicable, use of PPE.

PPE

Required to wear safety glasses throughout the manufacturing facility as well as hearing protection in designated areas.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
