Summary:

  • The Facility Quality Manager (FQM) requires relevant experience in facility maintenance, repair, and operations activities. The FQM will plan, inspect and report on facility maintenance activities.
  • The Facility Quality Manager will work in conjunction with the Project Manager to coordinate maintenance employee(HVAC, Electrician, Plumber, Grounds, Shipping and Receiving, Laborer, Carpentry, Boiler operations, Janitorial, Ground Maintenance, and Snow Removal) work activities and ensure the quality of completed and ongoing maintenance tasks meets PWS requirements and fulfill our customer’s needs.
  • The FQM will provide valuable input on minor maintenance projects, scheduling and communication of corrective and preventative maintenance tasks with facility occupants.
  • Most importantly, the FQM will be able to generate clear and accurate reports of work progression of maintenance employees IAW the required contractual CDRLs.
  • Candidates should possess a good understanding of facilities maintenance and repair activities, work scheduling, operation of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), project safety and quality policies, and the effective implementation of quality control concepts and oversight.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, directs, and supports all scheduling activities associated with ERRC site operations and maintenance including planned maintenance, unplanned repairs, and IDIQ project work.
  • Knowledge of Production and Purchasing functions in a Facilities Maintenance Environment.
  • Schedules corrective and preventative maintenance activities and ensures compliance with the schedules.
  • Works with facility occupants to provide updates on projects and to resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Monitors employee performance and productivity.
  • In conjunction with the PM, develops and implements training opportunities and remedial actions as necessary.
  • Prepares, reviews and submits annual, monthly and weekly work report deliverables for submission to the customer.
  • Develops and monitors the execution of preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Supervises daily work activities to ensure work is completed on schedule and in accordance with required quality control standards; documents inspections and work activities.
  • Ensures strict compliance with established safety procedures and standards and recommends enhancements to safety training and safety programs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience with progressive responsibility.
  • Journeyman certification or similar experience in a skilled trade.
  • ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organization Excellence (CMQ/OE)
  • Experience planning and estimating minor repair and replacement projects.
  • Familiarity with vendors and subcontractors that can provide project support in the geographical area.
  • Has experience with work order management system, and utilizing a CMMS to generate work production reports.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Experience executing a quality management system.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to lead and work within a team environment.
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Demonstrated decision making skills that reflect good judgement and ability to work autonomously.
  • US Citizen with ability to pass a thorough background and credit check. to obtain a Government clearance.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend and reach for extended periods of time.
