Job description

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Maintain and improve quality system by ensuring documentation, approved supplier lists, training, calibrations, etc. are current.
  • Maintain cross-functional relationships with technical services, manufacturing, and commercial personnel.
  • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products according to industry and customer specifications and/or requirements.
  • Conducts supplier audits to ensure compliance with our quality requirements.
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to entire site and other appropriate staff.
  • Responsible for product testing processes.
  • Review of product testing results.
  • Identifies and analyzes defects and other problems when recurring in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Reviews client, customer, and user feedback and manages the CAPA system.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies (i.e. ISO 9001, AS 9100, & NADCAP).
  • Attend opening and closing meeting of site audits and support as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Hires and trains staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of site quality staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or field related to the products being developed required.
  • Three to five years of experience in related field required with supervisory experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
