SureStaff has 2 wonderful Quality Inspector Career Roles in the Fabrication and Metal Manufacturing Industry for a top client in Northern Chicago (Mundelein) Area

Our Sheet Metal Manufacturing Quality Control Inspectors do much more than just measure parts, they investigate issues, work with shop teams and management to resolve concerns, certifying parts, and creating proper quality control document paperwork and more. They are involved in all stages of the fabrication process, including incoming receiving, outsourced processes, in process inspections and final audits. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with 2+ years of experience performing close/tight tolerance mechanical inspections and experience with handheld gauges, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, thread gages, etc.

Hourly Range are ($23-25/hr.) based on Experience and on the quality of the interview. Note there will be an assessment that will be part of the first round interview to help qualify skill and experience level. Available Shifts and Compensation

2nd shift: 2:30 pm to 11 pm. Or can be 11:30 or 12 am, depends on production needs as well. Same as first shift, OT is 1.5 time if they work any overtime over 40 hours during the week.

Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector:
Monitor production to ensure all documentation is complete.

Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality standards are met

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve product or production related issues.

Assist with developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.

Able to read and interpret blueprints and know definitions of critical, major, minor characteristics.

Able to measure parts and determine if they are meeting print specifications.

Inspect first part against each measurement as indicated on print.

Verify acceptable tolerance. Indicate completed inspection on corresponding inspection record.

Required Qualifications of the Quality Inspector:
2+ years of experience performing close/tight tolerance mechanical inspections in daily role

Experience with handheld gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, thread gages,

Able to read blueprints.

Metal stamping/fabrication experience preferred.
