POSITION SUMMARY

This position will support the day to day operations of the quality assurance department at the Balanced Health Botanicals production facility. As a rapidly growing company, the ability to learn and adapt quickly is vital to this role. Working as a team member in the quality department, you will work closely with the Production Department to oversee daily quality and sanitation functions. A very high level of attention to detail is required for this position. This position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Director.

CORE JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collects samples using aseptic technique and functions as main point of contact for third party lab testing
  • Oversees plant cleanliness, sanitation activities, and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Supports the Environmental Monitoring Program
  • Responsible for posting all COAs on company website
  • Oversees incoming material quarantine
  • Monitors production activities to ensure quality standards are met
  • Escalates possible product safety issues to the QA Director
  • Helps develop SOPs and work instructions and maintains document control
  • Maintains Good Documentation Practices
  • Other duties as assigned by QA Director

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in Food Science or Biological Sciences preferred, or equivalent food or dietary supplement manufacturing experience
  • Direct quality experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Other Requirements:
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to take ownership of projects
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of quality management systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Good Documentation Practices
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to review/update processes/procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Power Point, Excel and Word

SCHEDULE

  • This position generally follows the production team’s schedule of Monday – Thursday, 7am-5:30pm.

Salary is $55K-$60K DOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
